I had my mother's wedding ring redone with a different diamond and rhodium dipped. My mother is now deceased. It was gorgeous when I got it back after it being in Karen's possession for 3 weeks. However, after 2 days of wear the plating came off from the inside breaking my finger out and showing scorch marks on the now yellow gold. One of the prongs also came loose causing the diamonds to fall out. Overall a horrible experience.
