Very thorough in her examination. Ordered additional testing outside her specialty. Wanted to help get to the underlying cause of the problem, unlike other overworked opthamologists at the MUSC clinic. Staff very professional and helpful.
She recognized a proliferative diabetic retinopathy condition which had been overlooked by a previous physician. What impressed me the most was the immediacy of her response, having personally secured an appointment for me with a specialist within two hours of my visit with her. She even had to insist with the scheduler the necessity that I was to be seen immediately. I have never before experienced such attention to a patient’s needs. Since then I’ve had a full recovery. Dr. Ullian does the whole exam herself, she has many years of experience and a great deal Of knowledge.
I am a physician and I wouldn't take my children to any other ophthalmologist in Charleston, SC. Dr. Ullian is extremely thorough and professional. Of the highest caliber. I would not risk eyes to any lower standard. Convenient central location with free parking.
