Specialties: What began 59 years ago with my late-husband, Richard McCooey, creating the 1789, Tombs and F. Scott's restaurants in Georgetown, selling to the great Clyde's Restaurant Group decades later, who in turn have sold to the Katharine Graham Foundation had led to Karen McCooey Studios. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this story and to 'keep the party going', as Richard would always say. I'd love to design memorable interiors for your home, restaurant, hotel, club and resort
