HORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY!!! As a nurse myself I would NEVER, EVER recommend KAQ Hospice!!!! You would think that when you call for help that SOMEONE would call you back - they DIDN’T! No support for the family at all - not even at the very end! They DO NOT COME OUT EVERY DAY (not even when they KNOW the person is transitioning or actively passing). I want to say first that the nurse and assistants are caring and above reproach other than Kelly who definitely is part of this insanity. My mother went to KAQ because it was recommended by Audrey at St. Clare’s, Dover. I had to fight for get information about my mother’s care. After demanding information about her care, the staff changed her meds without consulting me. A total nightmare ensued and my Mom lingered which resulted in my paying $450 per day with me supplying her food and them changing her meds to continue ... read more
Do not use Karen Ann Quinlan, worst experience of my life. While I was taking care of my Mother at home because I wanted her to pass at home, I made the mistake of having Karen Ann Quinlan for her hospice. The bed they brought to my house had a small metal but on it which caused my Mother to cut her arm and the flailing of her arm caused a small bruise.
