My psychiatric training in the early 1980's consisted of both the psychodynamic understanding of human behavior and the (at that time) growing field of psychopharmacology. Over 30 years of practice have taught me that therapy is the team effort between myself and my patient of listening, understanding, and when necessary medically treating those conditions which may interfere with their life.

Dr. Kanter is an incredible physician. I'd been struggling to get properly diagnosed, medicated, and treated for over three years, and was in a cycle of being seen by different residents every time I went in when Dr. Kanter stepped in and took over my care. He would not stop until we found a medication that worked for me, and we finally did, which has changed my life. He is a brilliant man with a sharp mind and a wonderful way with his patients. I cannot recommend him enough.
One of the sharpest doctors I've ever met. Knows his discipline cold and is well versed in a wide variety of protocols - can't say enough good things about him.
