They disconnected my electricity even though my account is on auto pay. I reached out to the customer service line to try to find out what the issue was that resulted in the disconnection. I have been calling all day and have yet to make contact with anyone employed in the customer service department. The phone tree is extremely confusing and will hang up on you periodically. I was able to speak to one lady who did not work in customer service who told me I needed to "pay my bill", that she could not help me and that I neede... read more

They cancelled my autopay and never informed me until I was over 30 days late on a ****. Then made me pay the next month in advance to resign up. They haven't responded to any of my emails or calls to make sure it's corrected and how they will make it right. For someone who is never late on bills this is super frustrating and their customer service *****. I wish there were other options.

IF IT WERE POSSIBLE TO GIVE A ZERO STAR REVIEW I WOULD! WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH! MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR "PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT"! THEIR EMPLOYEES READ THE AGREEMENT TOO FAST AND DON'T EXPLAIN THE WAY THE AGREEMENT ACTUALLY WORKS! AND WANT TO GET AN ATTITUDE WHEN YOU ASK THEM QUESTIONS AND TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT REREADING THE AGREEMENT FORM FOR YOU AGAIN!!

Terrible Company. Shared by information with an estranged family member, and then linked my account to said family member. Really can't understand how they haven't been taken to court for violating not only people's privacy, but especially after they ignored the ***** shut off moratorium for so many people. Bless Evergy and the fact that I don't have to deal with BPU ever again.

Only been forced to deal with this monopoly for a day, and they are already terrible. Told me I had to have someone come out and turn on the water when its already on. Then, never showed up. Wasted half my day for literally nothing. If there was any other option, I would DEFINITELY go with that. But, its a legalized monopoly. Dont have any other options..

BPU has must be mismanaged as Ive lived with KCPL and IPL and other than the early ****s ice storm Ive always had power restored in less than 24 hours. Having power down is quite common with BPU in charge. Sure, issues can occur but BPU lacks in response time. Whether they need more efficient power grid paths or better response procedures it is clear that they lack the ability to respond to outages in an efficient manner. Expect over 24 hours of outages if you lose power as with BPU you will be lucky to get it on quickly.

My **** stated my balance of $140 was due 1/21. I set up a payment arrangement with BPU for 1/24. The arrangement was accepted and scheduled. Today, on 1/23 I returned home to no power. I tried contacting them and was on hold forever. I had to leave a voicemail and I sent them an email through the website making them aware of my frustration and their failure. If BPU were unwilling to allow me until the 24th to make the payment, why would they accept the arrangement?? Also, since my credit is fair, they charged me $550 on my ... read more
