Great food, and Tom Cruise! The only mark down is Tom Cruise! lol! I love bringing out of town guests here after the seaport village tour! It has great food and incredilbe ribs, PORK! Great atmosphere to enjoy the San Diego Day!
Great Portion MAn, this place is ridicious...the decor is all Top Wing based since this is the site where it was filmed. It looks kind of dirty inside but the food they serve is HUGE and delicious. Don't miss out in this hole in the wall since they have some great ribs of various styles that you'll just die for!
Great Barbeque Joint This little barbeque joint has great food. They have the typical bbq beef, pork, chicken, etc as well as great sides such as potato salad, fries, and cole slaw. It was also the location used to film the bar scene in Top Gun, so that is pretty cool to see too.
Amazing Tasting Food Awesome BBQ food. This is place is famous for the taping of the TOP GUN movie. REAL fresh BBQ food. I had the Tri Tip sandwich and I'll be back again for more. I totally recomend this place.
Yuck! – We're locals and we've always seen the place, but have never visited. We thought we'd give it a try. Big mistake. The food was lukewarm, and the ribs were really nasty; the sauce was bitter and what's with the white, stale bread? My hubby got a pulled pork sandwich that was lacking in the pulled pork, so he was still hungry when we left. The onion rings were soggy and coated in some weird batter...I could go on and on but you get the point. If you must eat bbq in San Diego then treat yourself to Phil's BBQ. Delish!!!
Bring the whole family!! I felt that KC's offered a great menu and good service. The food was great and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and menu for even the pickiest of eaters. Bring the whole family and they will all be satisfied and full Zack K
Great Food.. GREAT food. I've been looking for a good BBQ place ever since I moved to California from KC (which is home to the BEST bbq ever) but nothing ever measures up. Delicious food!! I usually only make it to San Diego once a year during comic-con. This has always been a place that my friends and I have have to visit. Last year, I was really disappointed because it had burned down but this year I am soooo jazzed! I love the lunch and dinner combos. I'm a carnivore and as far as I'm concerned the more meat, the better. I really don't care that Top Gun was filmed there. I go there for the food. I had a blast there!! This rating is NOT for food, as I didn't eat there but purely for the drinks! Okay, so shoot me, I've never seen Top Gun (although after I went to KC BBQ, I was finally inspired to rent it).
