On my last biennial appoitment I was told that I should have the testing for cataracts and now that I am 65 it would all be covered by OHIP. I went for that testing today only to be told that I still owed money for tests not covered by OHIP, expenses I was never informed of or authorized. I can see other reviews like this for Kanata Optometry Centre. The service I received was good but for me deceptive/hidden charges and the underlying greed neutralizes the experience - thus three stars. I'll be more cautious in the future. ... read more
I've been a patient at Kanata optometry for about 6 years now and they just keep getting better. I thought highly of this group when they were at their old location and although the new locations is huge and snazzy there has been an increase in service with no increased costs. By this I mean, they have even more staff and equipment to efficiently evaluate patients but without any substantial price increases. They have always taken the time to carefully evaluate my vision including retinal scans for the record to be compared ... read more
