had my surgery today, the space is absolutely beautiful and the team was phenomenal. from check in to discharge, my experience was amazing and could not have gone better. 100/10 thank you SO MUCH for everything!

My son's surgery was cancelled 2 hours before the start, the staff totally lack compassion, especially for the person living alone with special needs. Nobody told him before that he will need a companion after. Driving from far away (rural BC), booking a hotel near the hospital, paying for dog sitter, and it is all for nothing. Very disappointed and angry. If he would be informed about this ahead, at least I could fry form Ontario to help my som, but it was not done. I got accepted to get my umbilical hernia repair surgery here, which took place yesterday. I couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience! Everyone was so friendly and informative. A special shout-out to my surgeon Dr. How, my anesthesiologist Dr. G, and my amazing RN, Ed, who helped ease me through the recovery process immediately post-op. They also literally JUST called me to check in and see how I’m doing. 10/10 recommend! If you have a surgery at this Kamloops Surgical Center, I promise you are in good hands. 🤍
