Good Veggies! My work colleagues and I often lunch at Kamakura. I love their veggies bowl. They are cooked perfectly - not over-steamed or too crisp (like raw). The service is good and the hostess (co-owner) is a doll! She is funny and personable. She must have been a handful in her younger years!
Favorite Place! I love the older woman who greets you and seats you, she is a doll! The food is very delicious and fresh. At the end of your meal you are pleasantly surprised with a tasty little glass of plum wine by the older woman who greeted you when you first walked in.The prices are good, the wait can be long, the place is a bit small but all well worth it.
Could not have asked for better Kamakura's is my choice for one of the best places I've ever eaten at for sushi - whether in San Francisco or Orange County. Only the freshest ingredients will do. I enjoy letting the chef surprise me with something he chooses for me. Wonderful.
