manager and staff has attitude and they took 45mins to serve us who came back of us they served first and took the order first and didn't even care when we were asking them. showing up dere attitude as if they gave me free of cost... they dont care if pay.... manager has tamil feeling so he wants to serve them first . these ppl are down to earth until they got good reputation today we saw dere true religion feel

I have been there for serval time and got satisfied with food and service. Kalpasi is one of the best restaurants in the D.C. area period. It is outstanding food And prices. Kalpasi is Authentic indian food like you have probably not had it... Complex flavors and served in almost tapas sized portions. Lachha parata, appam , and the lamb chops are out of this world. Great wine list, great service. It is a fun, delicious experience.
Initially gave them 4 stars as the service was great but our experience today was awful. Service was not good at all and now they say they charge for replenishing the buffet Thali. They are making stuff up willy nilly. Now that business is picking up for them they service is dropping. Very disappointed in Kalpasi.
