This department is a disgrace to the field of psychiatry. They only care about checking boxes, and are shockingly rude, defensive, and condescending.

Giving one star is generous. The care services may be very good, but the process to gain access to care is nearly impossible. I've now called 5x on 3 different days to schedule an appointment and have not gotten through. I am frustrated and willing to change insurers because of this. I never thought that KP's mental health offering could be this bad, but I understand why there are lawsuits about the care they provide in mental health.

The receptionist I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and difficult to communicate with, to the point that I couldn’t even make an appointment. The way she spoke to and treated me was completely inappropriate, especially for someone working in a psychiatric department, let alone the medical field as a whole.

Edit: I have since called again multiple times and left voicemails, which are never returned. The operators I do get through to hang up on me. A disgrace to mental healthcare. If I could rate lower than a 1, I would. Over a year ago, I began the process of getting assessed for ASD. First, it took forever to get through to the office. If I could rate lower than a 1, I would. Over a year ago, I began the process of getting assessed for ASD. First, it took forever to get through to the office. At one point I was on hold for over 30 minutes. I was then scheduled for what I thought was the assessment, which actually turned out to be a screening. The initial part of the session was asking how I performed in school, my relationship with peers and family, and general medical history.
