Theres only 1 person in all of San Francisco that can help you get to receiving ADHD medication and if the are busy it can take weeks before you are even able to be seen to get them filled.

My therapist at Kaiser psychiatry department have been helping me healing trauma that I’ve been suffering for decades of PTSD symptoms. I was able to grieve for the first time from the loss of a close family member who passed away 28 years ago. I couldn’t have done it without the professional care. My experience at Psychiatry department have been positive and supportive from front desk staffs to my therapist.

This review is for simply trying to schedule an appointment. I am not new to mental health/psychiatric services, and I know what I need. However, I am new to the area and my employer uses Kaiser Permanente. In short my experience so far with KP sucks. I get the sense nurses and providers are way overworked. It is nearly impossible to get a simple intake appointment with the department of psychiatry. It was only within the past four years and some change that I began digging into therapy and opening up, in spite of mental health discussions and interpersonal communication being unsafe and void in my household.
