The most significant improvement needed is clear communication and basic concern for patient welfare. My experience during this procedure was extremely troubling. I was subjected to a colonoscopy without adequate sedation, which made the procedure excruciatingly painful. When the team determined the procedure could not be completed, no one provided any explanation about what had happened or why the sedation was insufficient.
