I have lived at Uptown 11 (formerly Stanford Townhomes) for going on 5 years. Never had a problem until they were purchased by Kaftan. I have always paid my rent on time and never had an issue until recently. I have my rent electronically drafted out of my account, when it did not come out, I called, I was told it will be taken care of. Fast forward to June 20 nothing has been resolved with me calling almost everyday. They charged me late fees. legal fees, and etc... Thieves, submitted a claim to The Guarantors for damages to apartment collected the money then sent the exact amount to collections as well. Who does that. What is wrong with this company? Lacking in morals, and ethics. Do not rent from these low lives. Update: It was resolved because I reported your company to Consumer Protection Agency and the BBB. They run their residents like a private equity firm. Not like a community. If they own it, skip it.
Currently live in metro Oxford in Berkley. It’s a really nice location. The rooms aren’t bad at all, albeit a little cramped for the price you pay. However, it’s nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone you’re trying to talk to. Maintenance is a pain to schedule, but the guy is really nice. The property managers that were here when I first moved in 6 months ago either abandoned their jobs or got fired. Now there is only one person handling stuff which isn’t working for anyone.
