Saw my nephew play in a band, very small performance area; but very good pastries / beer selection, eclectic decor too.
The staff knows me by name and is always incredibly friendly. I love coming in for the laid back atmosphere and the wide range of drinks available, from coffee to beer to liquors. Take a minute to be nice to the staff, and they'll become the highlight of your day in return.

One of the only places like it... I still pine for the "regulars but also anyone else welcome" atmosphere of students, instructors, drinkers, readers, debaters, and self employed day-workers, not to mention music, comix, books, and records. I miss it muchly and all the folks that made it so great a spot for me. Thanks Kafe Kerouac for the good times!
