Kadlec ER was busting at the seams yesterday. My husband was brought in by ambulance and they took excellent care of him. Since he is a cardiac patient he was able to receive priority treatment.
I had great care last night. It was 2am so I don’t recall the nurse and Dr. who took care of me but they were very caring, thoughtful, and thorough. I was born at Kadlec and over 42 years have only had a couple of negative experiences which were probably my own fault. The nurse said they took care of over 200 patients yesterday but they made me feel like I was their top priority and not just another number. Thank you ER.
The ER was very full......so many people with the flu. We got to the ER on Jailyn's nurses' advice and met with a tech that did a EKG and it was normal. We had a wait but she was taken to a private room, away from all the people with the flu. The ER Dr. was one we had previously seen and ordered the test he needed to see if she had a blood clot that would show up. The good news nothing showed up, so it had already dissolved. They got my son in fast and gave him the treatment he needed quickly. Doctor and nurse was really informative.
Nursing staff is great. Communication between doctors is horrible. The neurologists need to set their ego aside and transfer patients to Seattle when they have no experience in a rare condition.
Very personal and made you relax when you are scared. Keep checking on you to make sure you were okay
