Kading Properties are slumlords. They advertise I very nice looking place on their website. They wouldn't allow me to walk the property before I moved in or paid the deposit. They told me that it would be cleaned before move in. When I moved into the property the property was filthy I have a video of the property, It was dirty, items were broken, leftover garbage from previous tenants, the tile had multiple cracks in it. One star is even too high of a rating for Kading. I have never had this bad of a landlord... EVER. When I moved in several things didn't work (heaters, stove top burners, paint was peeling) and when I called to let them know, they never came and fixed ANY of it in the two years that I lived there. I had to go out and buy an electric fireplace in order to stay warm in the winter (which is ABSURD). They told us we could get a puppy for Christmas, said they would send the paperwork, then three days later told us we can’t because “it won’t be spayed.” How TF you supposed to spay a month old puppy? They’re not supposed to be spayed until at least 5 months old. This is absurd, and when we moved in years ago this was never a requirement (even though all my animals have been spayed/neutered), but now all of a sudden it is? Don't do any business with them, Don't rent anything from them, They don't care about u and will lie to you and will find every thing to keep ur security deposit. Regardless how clean u leave ur house, when you move out. They have the worst built home and u can find a good quality home with a good landlord. Don't believe any good reviews or listen to any one who works in the office, lairs and the most dishonest people around Iowa

Okay, so Kading Properties is affordable and because of that, it's why we live here. With that being said, there is a lot of negative to their properties. In Winterset, despite complaints of neighbors dogs being off their leash, that issue has never been resolved. The housing that we live in was built cheaply, you can see paint splatters on the floor that have never come out, dings in the walls that were never patched. Do not go through kadings. They lie and no one in their office even knows their rules procedures. The whole time we lived their we had many issues of them not communicating and come to find out they lied right to our faces with excuses to get out of answering for their bad management. Then they charged us for items after we moved out (since our lease was ending and we had enough of their poor service and excuses) that we were told very specifically we weren't going to be charged. Kading Properties is a great company! They work very hard and efficiently! I would definitely recommend this business!
