Excellent! – Kabuki is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner at a great price. I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in KC. The food is fresh, and they are gracious hosts. The atmosphere is incredibly calming, which is perfect if you've had a long day of work or shopping. It became one of my top 5 KC favorites from the first time I dined there several years ago. If you're looking for an elegant and relaxing restaurant with wonderful cuisine and service, try Kabuki.

Traditional Japanese! Kabuki is one of the few Japanese restaurant that is actually owned by Japanese people, very nice and friendly. It's location in the Crown Center and authentic sushi selections will be a great treat for 1st time visitors.

Great Sushi Great price!! – I waited for 15 minutes to finally be told that I could have just gone in to eat at the sushi bar. Took a while to get something to drink. Sushi chefs are very nice and friendly. They gave me some soy beans, to snack on which were good, but you can't eat the whole thing. I didn't know that. Open the pod and just eat the beans..to save yourself from the embarrassment. They have a huge variety of all the different kinds of sushi and make it special if you only want certain things. I ordered some rol... read more

Great Japanese Food in Downtown KC – I'm not a fan of sushi. But when I worked in downtown KC for five years, this was a favorite lunch spot for my coworkers. I first tried tempura here, which is fantastic. Their salads are wonderful, too. Great atmosphere - the moment you walk in you'll forget you're in a mall. The food presentation and service are outstanding, too. Highly recommended.

Best Sushi Rolls in Kansas City – Kabuki, in the Crown Center shopping center in downtown Kansas City, offers the best maki sushi (rolls) in the Kansas City area. They offer a wide variety of unique rolls including a Salmon and Asparagus roll, Volcano roll covered in spicy sauce and lit on fire, Arrowhead Roll which comes complete with spicy sauce and asparagus. The sushi chefs and wait staff are very friendly and the sushi chefs also do a great job of presentation with their sushi. Prices can get expensive, but it is well w... read more

Kabuki Service Poor – We went during lunch hour and weren't greeted. We sat at the sushi bar and no one came up to us for 10 minutes. The sushi was not as fresh as it could have been. The waitress then messed up my check. The only good thing was that the sushi chefs were extremely nice! I would not go back...there are much better places for sushi in KC!

PO WANG – KABUKI IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI IN TOWN ALL THE NEW LITTLE SUSHI PLACES OPENING UP AROUND THE METRO AREA JUST DON'T CUT IT IF YOU WANT TO GET $1 FROZEN LOW QUALITY PIECES OF SASHIMI THEN GO TO THOSE OTHER PLACES. BUT IF YOU WANT "A" QUALITY SASHIMI PREPERED BY REAL JAPANESE SUSHI CHEF THEN YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT KABUKI.

Midwesterners get an authentic taste of the Far East at this Crown Center sushi restaurant. – The Scene Tucked away in the Northeast corner of Crown Center's lower level, Kabuki is often overlooked, although it shouldn't be. The nine seats at the sushi bar give a great view of the master sushi chef, who is always willing to instruct diners in the fine art of wrapping and rolling. If those prime seats are already occupied, Kabuki's traditional Japanese seating adds to the experience. The Food This is one of the finest sushi b... read more
