The best place for sushi (or food for that matter) in Culver City! – I have had the chance to go to K-Zo's a couple of times now, and found it to easily be the nicest restaurant with the highest quality food in Culver City. If it were not for an associate of mine telling me about it, I would have NEVER gone to Culver City for food in the first place (sure there are studios there, but not great restaurants, UNTIL NOW!). K-Zo's is easily the best restaurant in that town, its: food, atmosphere and service are more on par with t... read more

Try the Crispy Albacore! – I was lucky enough to be at the opening of K-Zo and recently went back for a more intimate meal. All I can say how great a dining experience it was. Highlights for me were the Crispy Albacore and the Whitefish Yuzu. The service was more than attentive and the atmosphere is a great change of pace from the chain style establishments in Culver City. Oh... and don't forget to check out the hand dryer in the rest room... it's the most powerful you may ever encounter!

It's about time!!! – Having grown up in Hawai'i my bar for great fish/sushi is REAL high. Keizo you have raised the bar! Like most "foodies" in LA, we all wish we could eat/afford great sushi every night, but that's just not the case. I think I'll make an exception here. I've been going Sushi Roku for years when I first got introduced to Keizo and his brand/style for great Japanese food and now that he is on his own, I think he has saved the best for his own restaurant. Go to Hollywood for the scene, go to K-zo's for the ser... read more

Sesame Ice Cream – First of all, leave the hollywood stars alone, they are entitled to good sushi too. Started off with tasting the salads. Albacore, calamari, seared tuna, salmon skin salads were all good. The tuna tasted like a rare rib eye steak. Eggplant was also good. White fish with a pepper citrus seasoning was outstanding. Facility was simple, modern, clean and very comfortable. Ended things with a sesame ice cream. Amazing. Above all, the personal attention given was 5 star.

Sublime. – The sushi at K-ZO is first class-- hand selected from the best domestic and Japanese offerings. If its not the best fish available, you wont find it here. But the real art is in the preparation. Halibut (hirame) may be presented in two ways-- with a light dusting of fresh yuzu essence and engawa-- the edge of this delicate, flat fish. With enough variety to please both casual eater and connoisseur, Keizo is equally comfortable making the most of Tokyo style sushi and presenting his own innovations-- toro so perfec... read more

Best Sushi, great service – The service is impeccable, the location is great (Culver City is the 'it' town), but most of all, the food is amazing. I've been to tons of sushi restaurants for years, but this is my new favorite. Generous fish portions on the sushi, incredible array of small bite plates, and everything I've tried has been soooo tasty. I can't wait to go back!!

AMAZING!! – If you love sushi, this place is for you. It doesn't matter what you order, it will be prepared beautifully and just melt in your mouth. And if you also like tapas, you can't go wrong any of their salads and apps. So far we've had the albacore salad, spicy calamari salad, seafood ceviche and crab cakes. Can't wait to try the rest. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly and attentive. Keizo has done an amazing job. His warm smile and laugh are infectious, you can't help walk out without a smile on ... read more

Absolutely the best sushi in Los Angeles – I've been to all the fancy, expensive and out-of-the-way sushi bars but the new K-Zo restaurant is such a special place that it just doesn't make sense to go anywhere else. The sushi is prepared with such flare and experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and of course Keizo (head chef/owner) graces the restaurant with is own personable, humble and fun-loving personality. Between the deliciously distinctive sushi and the wonderful service & atmosphereI'll never need to go to any othe... read more
