Dr. McCarthy is very good at explaining everything thoroughly. He’s very knowledgeable and patient. He actually listens and hears what you’re saying, and he answers questions until he feels you understand. He makes you feel heard and respected. He’s very calm, gentle and compassionate. He doesn’t rush you. He has a great bedside manner, especially in surgery. I trust him implicitly. His nurse, April, is also very good, a bit blunt at times, but that’s not a bad thing at all.
Dr McCarthy is one of the few goods ones left! He is so caring and compassionate and doesn’t stop until he has the answers!! He was the 4th GI specialist that we took our 19 year old daughter to after another Dr performed a simple gallbladder surgery on her and left her with numerous complications!! Dr McCarthy acted quickly and got her the complete care she needed! We owe him and truly believe without him she would not be here today!!
My husband and I both see Dr. McCarthy. We love him. He is the best GI Doctor I have ever seen.
Nurses are rude and they drag thier feet when ordering hospital procedures.
Doesn’t remember anything going on with me. I have seen him 13 years His nurse never will call back and a patient is left hanging
He is a great doctor!! He figures out what is wrong with you when other GI doctors do not. After seeing many doctors, I finally got answers from Dr Mccarthy.
Dr. McCarthy is a great Dr. But his staff is extremely rude and does not have it together. Then when you need something or have a question they treat you bad like you are bothering them and it is their job . He would do alot better to have new staff .
Dr. McCarty is a wonderful doctor but his office staff are some of the rudest people I’ve ever been around. You no longer get to see him, he is always doing procedures so you will see his PA or NP.
Dr. McCarthy went above and beyond to care for my dad. He admitted him after dad went in to the ER for blood in the stool and lower abdominal pain. Knowing my dad’s medical history of a heart attack a little over a year earlier, Dr. McCarthy didn’t do just a GI work-up; he did a complete cardiac work up and other labs to check his total well being before doing any procedures. His bedside manner is friendly, showed concern, listened, and created great rapport with my dad. He made him feel comfort
