Outstanding. Had two recent surgeries,hip and knee. Was given estimates of 3 months and 6 months respctively for recovery. I was walking and mobile in one and a half months for the hip and three and a half months for the knee. When i say walking i mean unaided. I would recommend Dr. Hoover to anyone.
Dr. Hoover is the BEST Orthopedic Surgeon for Osteoarthritis or Fracture of the HIPS and or KNEES requiring a total joint replacement using the anterior surgical approach.
Dr. Hoover and his staff werereassuring and knowledgeable from start to follow ups. Professional and very understanding of questions and concerns. They provide the best pre surgery information and instructions.Dr. Hoover was caring and concerned for patient and personal concerns about surgery. He actually listened and made sure that those items were addressed.The surgery was well worth the wait. It was just enough time to gather all questions and get everything ready for a successful procedure and experience all around.
Waited for over an hour until notified Dr. Hoover was running 15-30 minuets late. Used 3 hours of work leave only to wait over an hour and asked to wait 30 minuets more. Had to reschedule. Will use Annapolis location for registry check-in. Will never get that PTO time back.
Dr. Hoover is a great surgeon with excellent credentials. I had some trouble scheduling a surgery date, but he stepped up and got it done. Three days later I felt quite good. I am pleased by what he did. In addition, he’s got a sense of humor and a wonderful bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Hoover is exceptionally talented. I like to brag a little about my experience when I encounter others that are considering similar surgeries. It would be wonderful if everyone could have a surgeon as gifted and caring as Dr. Hoover.
Dr. Hoover did a total knee replacement in 2019. I am currently seeing him for a leg fracture. He is knowledgeable, caring and communicates well with patient and staff. Dr. Hoover gives makes you feel like family and that you are he most important patient in the world.
Dr. Hoover is an exceptional surgeon. He replaced my right hip in July 2020 and thanks to the patient portal I was always only a few clicks away from interacting with him during my recovery. Recently, he treated me for a Bakers Cyst on my left knee. So appreciative for docs like him.
I saw Dr. Hoover about an extremely arthritic right hip that I anticipated scheduling for a total replacement in the very near future. Dr. Hoover was a true professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and patient-focused during my two visits with him. His staff was equally as impressive. I most strongly recommend Dr. Hoover to anyone contemplating joint replacement surgery.
