Love the atmosphere and hockey fried steak. Friendly folks and all around great place to have some home cooked hearty food.
I took a friend there who had never been. What a great experience! The food was delicious and the service even better. I had forgotten that they do not take credit cards but they were so gracious and my check is in the mail. It won't be so long in between visits.
Love the soul country cooking❤️The fried chicken was so crunchy and crisp with great flavor. Haven’t had riced potatoes since leaving Germany years ago. Such a nice memory and potatoes with gravy, yum. Thank you for the beautiful setting and delicious food.

This small family dining room has been serving up excellence for 66 years! They provide serious homemade country cooking inside a small adobe house that offers an intimate setting for any size group. Their fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and apple butter are just like Mom used to make... A wonderful dinner experience!

Went to dinner here with family from out of town wanting good home cooked meal left feeling great even though I felt the food was a bit too expensive. As we stood in the parking lot one of the ladies ran out and asked us if our service was satisfactory. We then said "yes our service was great! Is their problem? Is the girl new?" she replied with "no the gratuity was not as expected" for $200 meal for seven people we left a $30 tip and I guess that wasn't enough, we left very upset and will not be returning.
We joined a group of friends who we had not seen for years.....they are lifelong Colorado Springs residents.....it was a very pleasant evening....food was great...the fresh peach pie was outstanding.....overall a great experience!!!!
