Would not recommend trusting her with a new born. We took our 2 day old baby to her and she was super cold and asked her to immediately start formula for the baby, even though my wife was still transitioning. It lead to a series of events where now my son who is 7 weeks now would not take feed from my wife and only takes bottled milk. During our transition into being new parents she didn't even recommended trying pumping and straight away jumped to giving formula milk to a 2 day old baby.
Dr. Yeh has been our family's pediatrician for about a decade and has always provided good, quality care. When there is something urgent, she has made accommodations. Most importantly my family trusts her and my kids like her.
Saw her 3 days after delivery. Not very friendly, but most of all, I was thrown off by how quick she recommended formula. My baby had lost 9% of his weight (which is absolutely normal) and she said that we should get him on formula as soon as possible without even suggesting that I pump. I had been exclusively breastfeeding up until then but was having latching issues, which is totally normal because baby and mom are still learning.
