I have PTSD and she has been the best therapist, but she pushed me too hard and fast in my treatment and I started to associate her and her office with my traumas. With her training and experience, she should have recognized that you have to have established good boundaries before starting treatment, and she knew that I don’t have good boundaries. I started skipping appointments because I was panicking on my drive to her office. I finally stopped showing up.
I saw this person many years ago. I was new to psychotherapy. She seemed nice enough and had an unwarranted level of self-confidence. In the end, she scammed me of thousands of dollars, convincing me to come in for multiple hours of therapy per week. I ultimately made a complaint against her with the social work board.
