I saw this doctor in 2010 for persistent ankle pain. She recommended a minor procedure that took about an hour to complete. Nearly 13 years post surgery, the pain has not returned, and life is good. I would highly recommend this surgeon to anyone in the Rochester area struggling with foot or ankle pain.
Patient, thorough, knowledgeable and available. Overall an excellent practice.
I would have liked to meet the Dr., but after my TWELFTH CALL I gave up. HORRIBLE patient service.
Dr. Baumhauer put my fears to rest and showed me how to improve my footwear to be less painful. She operated on one foot to replace and implant and expertly performed surgery to correct the years of agony I'd been suffering. I was willing to travel here because she assured me I wouldn't need general anesthesia and she gave me twilight sleep. It's now 3 years later and I can go to the gym, travel, WALK without pain thanks to her. She truly is an expert and a professional.
Dr Baumhauer is probably pretty great at in-office visits, but I would not recommend her for bunion surgery. She used traditional methods to correct a medium sized bunion and did not use any hardware, therefore the the bunion came back almost immediately. No services were offered to correct the problem
