Maybe licensed but has no business being in the appraisal business. If this guy it setup to come to your house request a different appraiser. He appraised in 2016 80k less than a different appraisal (by someone else) in 2010. Now 2010 was an awful market, and since then we had made major improvements like central air and other interior renovations, electric service, etc. We have a beautiful Victorian home which he heavily penalized us for the age of our rich in character yet modern in essentials home. Utterly incompetent! In the appraisal report, he missed a bedroom and classified it as below grade. Also, unfamiliar with Short Hills market. Avoid this company.
