A Cedar Falls staple! J's is incredible!
Have had 2 dinners here and food was awesome both times!!
We go in and play cards at least once a week and every time we go in, we get terrible service. Today we went in and played an entire game of cards (50 minutes) without someone coming back to take our order. We try to empathize, as we've both been servers before, but there's no excuse. Every time we go in they make us feel like we don't exist and that's the worst kind of service you can get in the restaurant business. I love J's Homestyle Cooking - wonderful food, great service, reasonable priced! That being said I have gone there many times for breakfast but the last 2 times we have been there our food was cold. Nothing worse than cold eggs the first time I sent it back I think the cook remade my breakfast - came back perfect. The recent episode (this morning 1/7/16) I sent it back and it was the same breakfast just barely warmer and the toast was still cold. The best place to eat. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is always great. Staff is friendly. Food terrific.
