Had the transmission rebuilt on my 2017 Ram 3500 by Utah at J's Garage in May of 2023. It had lost first gear while pulling and slipping in deep sand. I'm writing this review in January 2025, because how can you write a review without first testing the product? That was almost 2 years and 40,000 miles ago. I've pulled our 12,000 pound 5th-wheel from the Texas Panhandle to upstate NY, then through KS, MO, NE, SD, WY, MT. I can't say enough great things about J's Garage and Transmissions in Amarillo, Texas! They recently fixed the heater and heated seats in my vehicle, and they had everything done in less than a week. Their work is top-notch, reliable, and they always go above and beyond. Knowing the owner personally, I can confidently say they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Owner saved us on his day off. We had oil lick from transmission. He did inspection really quick, after solved the problem immediately. Was a pleasure for us. Highly recommended.
While traveling through the area the day before the Christmas holiday, our Ford Transit began giving transmission warnings persistently. When it showed mechanical signs we stopped for the night and called Js first thing in the morning. The staff at J's were INCREDIBLE and once they knew our situation took actually immediately.
