If I could leave a no star I would. Had him do a new block on a 04 wrx. The work was done. Over 10k in receipts. Tried getting ahold of the place numerous times with voicemails and text messages to get the car back in , it had stuff that went wrong after the work was done to it. Messages again about the car and an issue. Bottom end went eventually. Working out of town I needed it fixed. Otherwise I would have done it myself. Waste of money.
Dishonest and Disappointing Experience On December 27, 2023, I brought my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek to JR’s Garage in Salem, Oregon, and paid $804 for what was supposed to be a full replacement of the passenger side strut assembly. I trusted them to do the work as promised. Fast forward nearly two years later, I went to a trusted Subaru specialist in Kansas City to have the driver side strut assembly replaced. EXTREMELY unprofessional, destroyed my head stud threads on my brand new block and told me it was my fault for supplying parts, stole more parts, and messed up timing on my brand new build, cams installed 180 out. Luckily a different shop undid all of JR mistakes and got me on the road.
JR provides high-quality and high-care service. He took the time to explain necessary services to me and it was clear that he knows what he’s talking about and cares about the cars he works on. I will absolutely be coming back!
