I have been pleased with Dr Joy. He competently prescribes medications, monitors side effects, and follows up in a calm, professional manner. I feel I can trust him. And that he works with me to monitor progress. He is flexible, capable and works with Insurance companies effectively.
If I could give him a zero I would. I was referred to him by my doctor who was leaving the practice. With my sexual abuse background it was a mistake. He made me completely uncomfortable talking about me being an attractive woman and then he decided I needed to find a “good” church and get involved in religion!! I was abused in church as a child. This guy is a pervert and a narcissist A-hole! Women beware!
Due to the lack of providers in my area, I was forced to take a chance and travel to Tucson. As I'm new to Arizona, I wasn't sure of what to expect, so I was nervous until I reached the office. Clean, updated and beautiful building with directory boards made finding his office convenient. After many negative and traumatic experiences with previous providers, I was so relieved to finally meet a psychiatrist that is attentive, warm and willing to listen. Left office feeling lighter and supported. Would 100% recommend.
