Joshua Tree

4.1

About this business

For those who like to watch sports with a rowdy, drunken crowd, this Murray Hill bar is an ideal spot. The decor of sports memorabilia and big television sets is popular with the crowd of post-collegiate sports devotees. The food consists of bar snacks, including Buffalo wings and burgers. Serious sports fans should note that this place is a little bit more about partying than about sports.

great atmosphere – we had lunch at this wonderfu, small and intimate place filled with broadway posters and friendly servers. we had a lovely view of the city as we dined on lartge prtions of fresh food presented craftly and deftly to our palets. it was just the right combination of quality and qunatity; this should suit all eaters and theater-goers. i highly reccommend this quaint and enjoyable eaterie.

This bouncer needs a reality check – Joshua Tree continues to think its "the" hotspot in NYC. New flash, its 2006 and JT isn't anywhere close. The bouncer needs to lose his attitude.

Good Neighborhood Place – Joshua tree is always packed during dinner and happy hour. However, the bar food is average......half of my cheese nachos were burnt to a crisp and the quesidillas wasn't that great. Drinks are cheap but again, not that great. Overall, a good place for low-priced drinks but not outstanding.

frat boys stuck in time – went for drinks because i thought the bar would be as cool as the song, but turned out to be filled with recent grads drinking college style after work. miss those college days with sweet watered down drinks and 80s music with ugly girls desperately seeking a hook up? joshua tree is the place for you!

Good music, bad drinks – I went with my boyfriend and a group of friends. The music is really cool if you like 80s and 90s music, accompanied by the videos on the big screens. It was a good time to just drink and dance to fun songs. But the bartenders could have actually poured alcohol in the drinks though. They were really watered down...the $10 Red Bull and vodka really was just a $10 Red Bull. I suggest sticking to beer.

College Nostalgia – Its college crowds, 80 music, and loud/raunchy behavior up in this crazy bar. The crowds get really congested after 10PM or so, attracting many 20 somethings to partake in the reasonably potent drinks and 80s music videos. Its worth a visit, but not during a crazy game / weekend night.

80's/90's Music – Was at a buddy's house nearby this place having some margaritas, some of the girls we were with suggested going to Joshua Tree to dance to some 80's music. Having a good buzz on already we went in. It was a fun night. They have some really big expensive flat screen TV's all over the place, that play the videos to the songs. We all had a blast dancing. (they had an open area in the back that was filled with people but no one was really dancing, we found a small spot and got our grooves on. Bartenders here we... read more

WHAT DID YOU SAY?! – You can hear diddly in this place once they jack up the music at 11. Don't think of meeting people here they are all the same. why is sat nite 80's music video nite? This place is also full of recent grads being proud they got that job at big brother Merrill thanks to daddy.

Good food / bad bar scene – Way too crowded with drunk undergrads on busy nights. Bouncers are beyond rude and definitely overzealous. I definitely won't go back.
