I appreciate being able to walk into IMS without an appointment and see my own doctor when I am sick.
Dr. Brown and his staff are exceptional. I really appreciate the continuity of care - IMS is an oasis in the desert.
Hands down one of the best group of providers and office staff I have ever come across. The world would be a better place if there were more individuals like Dr Brown
Dr. Brown is a great person and a phenomenal physician. A combination rarely found in medicine, and even more rare in New Mexico. I enjoy going to see him when needed, and have utilized the walk-in policy on many occasions. Its great to be able to see a physician in a few hours as opposed to a few weeks which has been the standard with my previous primary care docs.
Horrible experience. Dr. Brown was moving way too fast to provide any form of quality care. He was unengaged and ridiculously ill prepared to address lab results and didn't seem to care one way or another. With the whopping two minutes I had with him, he was about to walk out without addressing the primary reason I was there. The whole office is a huge cattle call shuffling people in and out as quickly as possible. I'll never set foot in there again. Really gross.
Horrible experience. Can't reach anybody by phone. Does not respond to emails or messages. Does not take the time. Is not prepared. Did not feel like he was taking my health concerns seriously. Billed insurance incorrectly, multiple times. Cancels last minute, reschedules, cancels again. Clearly too busy.
His office reached out to me to have me come in for Heartwise testing earlier this year. I'm glad they did! Tested hi risk in a few areas and motivated me to change my lifestyle. Quickly scheduled a session with the nutritionist and so far have lost over 40 pounds in just 6 months. All my blood tests are back to normal. Scheduling can be an issue and I've found its best just to drop by the office to schedule appointments.
Never saw Dr. Brown. Got stuck with his PA who was arrogant and acted like a Dr. Hopeless. Took 2 hours and no help at all.
You will be given to a PA rather than Dr at every opportunity. The place is run like a medicare/medicaid "mill" -- how many people can you get through the check out line in the shortest time. This office is not a place you want to be if you want personal care. Everything was rushed and pressured.
