My PCP recommended him few times and my therapist also said the same. After I saw him now for 3 years, He is by far the best psychiatrist in town. He will not stop until you feel better. He does his job with a smile on his face. You can tell he loves his profession. his office has very calming environment. you feel respected and cared for. silver, his office manager, is very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Joe.
Dr. Iskander was recommended by a counselor that my teenager was seeing approx. 3-4 years ago. We have been with him since! I've always enjoyed our talks and seeing how he interacts with my teenager. I've found him to be punctual, dependable, very compassionate as well as a great listener. He is not one to just push medicine. My Son and I saw Dr. Joe for years. He gives you the attention you need. Always gives options and chance to involve in the decision making. He always available when we needed him. Highly recommended. Even my PCP and therapist loves him.
Initially interested in helping, after a few visits he wants $175 for a 10 minute or less chat on the phone. He wants to hear you are great and increase your medications and be on your way. Cocky and arrogant. Unaware of social norms.
You get what you pay for. He is not cheap. But he is the best psychiatrist in the area. I have a very pleasant visit every time I am there. Very nice office.
He takes ownership of his patients. He gives you multiple options and makes you involve in your treatment plan. He Answers phone call and he is very easy to talk to. He is the best in Roanoke. Highly recommended.
He takes the time to get to know you, and makes sure you’re getting what you need from his care. He’s responsive, professional, and personable. Would absolutely recommend.
He is NOT helpful at all, he acts like he knows everything and you are his Guinea pig. Wouldn't recommend a dead person to go there if that tells you anything.
Not a good place to go getting help for addictions as advertised. Does not meet regulatory standard in terms of patient treatment plans and education. Confusing and mixed messages from staff there. Everyone is friendly but they don't care beyond getting bill paid. Compared addiction to diseases yet doesn't provide treatment as a disease....esoecislly not recommended for those with addiction and psychiatric issues.
