Yes my right TKR was great- everything you said- but when I had my left one done, a larger size component was implanted and Doctor Vernace never er could admit that just maybe it was the cause of my continuing issue with this left knee- disrespectful to me, did not listen to me, only kept chanting his own praises about how he fixes every other orthopedic surgeons mistake...
He’s kind and patient. He explains everything, asks if you have any questions. If you do he explains anything you ask.
I went to Dr Vernace on recommendation of my orthopedic doctor who has been treating my incredibly damaged and debilitating knees for potential replacement. I’m young, and yes, overweight, but my mother and grandfather needed knee replacements young. It’s genetic. This man actually said to me “I didn’t make you fat. Don’t cry at me. Dr Vernace and his PA were friendly and professional. Dr. Vernace gave excellent recommendations about what need to be done and how he would handle my knee joint replacement. Follow up has been incredible. I highly recommend thos physician.
Treated me disrespectfully, never admitted his decision that has caused me continuing issues with the knee he replaced. Diagnosed a need for a thicker spacer when the knee was already so overcrowded. Never took my complaints the entire first year seriously...

I had a terrible experience at this office and decided not to go back even before meeting the surgeon. The front office was rude. 3 individuals were chatting and completely ignored me while I waited on crutches for 5 minutes to check in. Once checked in we were in the room for almost an hour. I had to go to the front desk to ask why we were waiting for so long and they rolled their eyes saying they are taking care of other patients. Dr Vernace performed a knee replacement on my father in law with cellulitis and he was readmitted a week later with fever, pain,swelling etc. Infection was present on admission but surgery done anyway.
I was misdiagnosed by 6- yes SIX- doctors before finding Dr Vernace . Took him 5 minutes to diagnose that I needed a hip replacement. Changed my life and forever grateful, Highly recommend .
