Joseph Kim was extremely effective in helping me overcome chronic hoarseness and difficulty singing. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and effective in explaining the mechanics of voice production, but also helped with vocal hygiene and breathing/ strengthening exercises. Above all, he helped me understand how worrying about my voice was impeding my recovery. His reassurance gave me the courage to relax and take pain and minor setbacks in stride. I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with vocal dysfunction.
Dr. Kim is very good at what he does. He showed and explained to me what exercises would help my voice after surgery. In no time my voice has returned. Thank you Dr. Kim!!
Joseph Kim is an exceptional speech pathologist. I am a singer struggling with vocal difficulties, and Joseph, as a classically trained singer, was the perfect therapist for me. He applies his vast knowledge and experience with skill, encouragement and humor. My sessions with him were instructive, supportive, effective and fun! I highly recommend him.
I came to Joseph Kim in a last ditch effort to see if I could restore my voice at all. My vocal cords are inflamed--caused by my rheumatoid arthritis. I am a singer and haven't been able to sing in over 4 months (or speak without hoarseness) --had my 4th visit with him today.......and he had me SINGING!! ..just exercises so far, but I'm excited.
