I was just happy to find an outpatient speech therapist not focused on pediatric patients, but when I started with Joseph I felt so lucky as well. I’d been going from one doctor to another trying to address a year-long chronic cough. Joseph was incredible — kind, patient, compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, a lovely sense of humor…the whole package. My cough is now resolved in large part due to his education and advice. Joseph Kim was extremely effective in helping me overcome chronic hoarseness and difficulty singing. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and effective in explaining the mechanics of voice production, but also helped with vocal hygiene and breathing/ strengthening exercises. Above all, he helped me understand how worrying about my voice was impeding my recovery. His reassurance gave me the courage to relax and take pain and minor setbacks in stride. I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with vocal dysfunction.
Dr. Kim is very good at what he does. He showed and explained to me what exercises would help my voice after surgery. In no time my voice has returned. Thank you Dr. Kim!!
