Dr. Yu is the best. Hes been working for over 20 plus years and he knows his stuff. He listens and understands. The kindness Doctor I ever met. I trust him.
I called and let the office know I’d be 10-15 minutes late because I hit unfortunate traffic coming from Point Loma. Dr. Yu refused to see me when I arrived, and I had waited over 2 weeks for the appointment. His staff wouldn’t be able to reschedule me for another 2 weeks from now!! I have never had such a poor experience with a Kaiser provider until I had the misfortune of being scheduled an appointment with Dr. Yu. After asking him for an increase in test strips, I was met with an argument. He reasoned that since I check my blood sugar before and after every meal, and believe that the CGM can occasionally have inaccurate readings, I must not want my CGM. He began to put words in my mouth and interrupted me often. I was shocked by what started with a small ask, which exploded into him accusing me of being wrong. I have a 6.6 A1C.
