Dr Joseph De Orio has been our urologist for 4 yrs already, both me and my husband sees him for my chronic UTI and my husband’s prostate. He spends a lot of time with both of us explaining the conditions of our problem and how it can be resolved. the worst experience with this MD and clinic. The surgery was performed by a student without consent. The front desk checked my insurance and i was told surgery would be covered, now we are billed for the surgery. NOT a trustworthy office or doctor.
I've been seeing Dr. D since July 2016. He visited me at Long Beach Memorial after I suffered a spinal cord injury. I immediately felt at ease with his presence and bedside manner. He is professional, knowledgeable, kind, genuine, and takes the time to explain complicated issues. In addition to his impeccable medical knowledge, his true gift is empathy and compassion. I began working with Dr DeOrio approximately 10 years ago following a prostatectomy and at the recommendation of my surgeon. I have always found Dr DeOrio to be knowledgeable, intelligent, and caring. He explains himself carefully, and I have never felt rushed during an appointment. I have seen several urologists over the past dozen years, and Dr DeOrio is unquestionably one of the very best. On top of all that, he's just a very nice fellow.
Male urology is both sensitive and complex subject. After two urinary complications following a two hour surgery, one being a painful catheter experience, my surgeon recommended that I visit Dr. DeOrio to try and understand the reason for my complications.
