I was referred to Joseph Ducharme by my opthomologist for bilateral cataract surgery. The pre-op Office workup was fine until meds became part of the conversation. I left the office with the understanding that while some sedation would be needed for comfort it would be minimal. The totally unprofessional part of this occurred when Ducharme attempted to distract me while the CRNA administered the drug I did not want to receive ( Midazolam causes memory loss-too long a time post-op for me!!) He is too notch. Very knowledgeable and has a very soft way about him. Did my cataract surgery and it's amazing how much better my vision is.
After being told I was pre-diabetic because of problems with my contacts. I went to Dr Ducharme who told me right at the first glance under the scope that I had overworn my contacts and needed to stop. The other doctor told me he couldn't do anything for me and continued to let me wear the lenses.
