Dr. Donnellan had me at “hello” after reading his website. He is compassionate, empathetic, and really listens. He works with the patient and his/her particular needs. He is readily available and takes phone calls after hours if a situation arises, such as getting medications refilled, or offering advice. I highly recommend him and wish more doctors had the combination of skill and bedside manner.
I've been seeing Dr. Donnellen for over a year now. I suffer from life-long depression and anxiety and have seen many physicians since my twenties. I am now in my sixties. He has prescribed the right "cocktail" for me which no other physician was able or willing to prescribe for me. I am so grateful to him for seeing me because he changed my life and has been able to help me feel normal which has been an extremely difficult state for me to attain. I had first meet Dr.Donnellan a few years ago and it was for depression. Very warm and inviting office and staff. I have been dealing with depression for decades and finally got tired of missing out on life. He had asked all the right question and pushed a little on some to make sure the answer was clear. Long story short I still see him once a month and it took a while to my medications to start working and what wasn't was changed to something else. It’s been difficult to write this review due to the fact that it’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for Dr. Donnellan. He is warm. He is inspiring. And above all, he is genuine with his hope to help make his patients live better lives. Dr. Donnellan did not fill me up with drugs and send me away. Instead, through therapy, he was able to diagnose me and provide a healthy balance of medicine and knowledgable insight through weekly sessions. Dr. Donnellan helped me greatly with my issues. Straightforward and honest on his approach and what I needed to do to help myself as well. Just the right pace for me too.
My teen just started working with Dr. Donnellan and he has been nothing short of spectacular! My son took him instantly. He said that he feels like a valuable part of the process and I like the results so far!
Dr. Donnellan has been a practicing psychiatrist for almost thirty years. Though my time spent with him has not been to the level of years as some other patients who have left reviews, I have never been more joyful about finding the right doctor. He does not boast, however he is extremely intelligent. He likes to allow his patients to think and advocate for themselves, and draw their own conclusions, with some guidance.
