Dr. Erbella repaired a small umbilical hernia on my husband, who had been on blood thinner but off for the prescribed length of time, prior to surgery. Dr. said the 20 minute surgery went well, no problems. However, the 1st night home my husband went into extreme distress, was rushed to nearest ER. He lost 5,000 cc's of blood into his abdomen, required a major 2nd surgery with new surgeon, 6 transfusions, 13 staples in incision, recovery is 6 weeks. We made wrong choice in Dr. Erbella

Dr. Erbella performed an umbilical hernia surgery on me, and he was fantastic. I recovered very quickly with minimal pain. His staff is awesome as well. I would highly recommend him for any surgery needs you may have. He is a great guy with a great personality as well.

I would not have any other general surgeon in Manatee or Sarasota counties operate on me or a family member. He has the best bed side manner of any surgeon I've met. He knows his stuff inside and out. He does anyll his own followup even on weekends. He is the best.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer the end of Sept. 2012, and had my first appointment with Dr. Erbella October 1st. Choosing this surgeon was the best decision I have ever made. Dr. Erbella and his staff are the best medical team anyone could hope for. Their compassion is over the top and is rivaled only by their professionalism. I feel it takes a village not only to raise a child, but to restore one's health and well being, having said that, this office is the best you will find anywhere.

Dr Erbella, Jill, Kris, and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. I had lap band surgery 6 yrs ago this month. They are there for me when life derails my weight loss train. They will listen and give you advise that is easy to follow. Carry and considerate and this office is highly recommended!

HEMMORHOIDS. I?ve had them 48 years. Finally, this year the pain and bleeding drove me to see Dr. Erbella. He used a new procedure, called PPH Hemorrhoid Surgery. I came out of surgery with NO RECTAL PAIN! I'm 2 weeks post-op, and still no pain. Dr. Erbella and his staff were kind, friendly and understanding, and I highly recommend you seek their care. I would recommend this PPH procedure to anyone, especially if you are as chicken as I was to have it done.

Dr Erbella has taken care of me since the beginning of my cancer surgical journey starting in 2009. He has performed numerous surgeries on me up to and including debriding of infected wound. He has excellent bedside manner and is a superman with how many surgeries he performs. He's annoyingly chipper bright and early in the morning when he usually does his rounds. I hate to think of having anyone else cut into me.

Dr. Erbella was great before my surgery...explained everything succinctly and I had complete trust in him going in to surgery for what we thought was one inginual hernia but turned out to be 2 hernias...inginual and femoral. The only disappointment I had was not seeing him after surgery or on my subsequent post op checkup. Fortunately, his staff is great and the nurse answered all my questions, and addressed my pain issues.
