My son saw this doctor who was supposed to be the best in his field years ago. The doctor told us my son did not have epilepsy and basically made me feel like a dumb mom. Thanks to my perseverance and unfortunately, Dr. Asconape’s lack of compassion or empathy, my son’s condition was in fact neurological and rare. Riley Day syndrome. It’s a shame we wasted time with a doctor who could not recognize autonomic dysfunction symptoms and said my son had mental health issues.

Polite but Horrible Neurologist. Does not listen to patients’ needs or concerns. Does not provide notes to employers. You need to remind him everyday and you still will not receive a doctors note until the following month. His negligence will affect your employer. If you value your time, your life, choose someone else.

Hi Dr Asconape, The fact my son has autism doesn't mean that he doesn't follow commands as you wrote in his eeg report. He was actually very cooperative during the study and he is verbal and academically almost the same level with his peers. Other than that you got an awesome eeg technician.)
