What a joke! Having recently moved to Austin from Tennessee, I went to this clinic due to having a severe sore throat. I was taken to the examination room fairly quickly and the nurse did the typical vital signs and small talk. Being a health administrator myself and working with doctors and nurses on a daily basis, I know a considerable amount about health care. Doc in the box I hate going to the ER if the kids are ill and it's after hours or on the weekend. I will gladly take them to pro-med, even if it means paying a hefty bill out of pocket. They are quick, friendly, and for the most part, a great "doc in the box" type of clinic. There are often a lot of worker's comp folks in there or people taking drug tests, but it generally doesn't affect your wait time. If you are in serious pain, though, and require a pain prescription, it is not likely you are going to get it here.
