There are not enough words to express how wonderful Dr. Grabel is. From the moment I was told I needed surgery his staff took care of everything. They filed my FMLA paperwork, my short term disability claim, scheduled my pre-admit testing and called me and kept me informed every step of the way. Dr. Grabel saw me before and after surgery and explained everything under the sun to me. He made sure that i knew what to expect and how to reach him if I had any issues at all. He is an amazing surgeon.
Not enough space to describe how highly I regard Dr. Grabel. He had done my back surgery. With excruciating upper neck pain, I naturally returned to him. This was a far more complex surgery with a long recovery time. Once again he saved me. He is accessible (no "surgeon" attitude) shows empathy and genuine care. At my age, I know a number of doctors! When I said I was going to Dr. Grabel, each one said that he is the man they would choose. Endorsement doesn't come from a better source!
Initial appointment was for a 2nd opinion. After consultation decided to have him perform surgery. I found him to be completely trustworthy. He explained everything and answered all my questions and concerns. He was candid, thorough and made me feel like I was his most important patient. After surgery he kept me and my family informed with a very caring attitude. His office staff is very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Grabel.
Fabulous experience from the start...a human actually answers the phone!! The staff has been great to work with, their office runs on time...kudos to the team that makes all of that work so well! Dr Grabel is a good communicator, takes the time to explain. He has a good ‘bedside/patientside’ manner, I felt very comfortable after my initial visit! (I had been extremely nervous!!!) after surgery I am even more impressed..not only with the pain free part..but also with the follow up. High marks!
Dr. Grabel explained the procedure before the operation and again told me what he did after the operation. He explained what to expect and I had no pain and only some discomfort. I found him and his staff very easy to talk to and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone who would need his expertise.
Dr grabel is one of the best & most informative Dr I've seen in a long time. I've had this issue with my neck for years & was afraid to have surgery but he explained everything about it and did a fantastic job. He's very compassionate about his patients and makes you feel very comfortable about what he's going to do. He's a 5 star sergion to me & has a great staff.

I have suffered with back pain for almost forty years, I had been told and believed that surgery was a fifty/fifty proposition. An orthopedic surgeon (Gary Ackerman) who I have used for knees and shoulder surgeries the last nine years told me “if it was his back he would go to Dr. Grabel”....I could barely walk from my car to the grocery store for the last six months. May 7th might be one of the greatest days of my life, people who know me can’t believe the changes in my posture, face, or voice
