From my first visit Dr. Grabel inspired confidence in me. He understood my complaint, and despite the fact that I had suffered for years and seen several other specialists, I knew Dr Grabel could be trusted to improve my health. The surgery went very well and now, 4 weeks post surgery, I am getting better everyday. He explained my xrays to me both pre and post surgery and the improvement has been remarkable.
My experience with DR. Grabel was amazing! He is the finest Neurosurgeon! He takes the time before and after surgery to answer questions, and is truly caring! I have great success post surgery and cant believe how little time the recovery has been!I had a microdiscectomy L5S1, and only took pain meds for 2 and a half days. 11 days post op and I feel great! I am indebted to Dr. Grabel for his surgical skill and his charm. How lucky I am to feel this good only. 3.5 weeks post op.
Unlike many doctors, Dr. Grabel was never in a rush. He took his time explaining my issues and the options to resolve same. He continued from pre to post-op and the follow-up visit. Additionally, I was able to speak with him the day after returning home.
This is the finest surgeon and one of the best human beings you will ever meet. He is an absolute expert and is genuinely very caring. It was my great good fortune to be his patient, He took me from fear to freedom. If I could give him FIFTY stars I would. You can not do any better than Dr. Grabel.
My surgery was an ACDF C5/C6 Fusion with Hardware. Dr. Grabel and the staff were truly amazing. The surgery went well and recovery is amazing thanks to Dr Grabel. Like with any surgery I was anticipating pain and a hard recovery but I have hardly any pain, only took pain meds for 4 days...wound is healing well and visually appealing. The hardest part of recovery is wearing your brace which Dr. Grabel says it is imperative to wear for correct healing for 7 weeks. I would recommend Dr. Grabel.
I was referred to Dr. Grabel by my primary physician and I'm glad he did. I found him to be forthright and honest in his assessment of my spinal diagnosis. He has operated on my cervical and lumbar spine this past year both with success .His skill and competency is well known around the medical community. I would highly recommend Dr. Grabel to anyone needing neurosurgery.
