Dr. McMahand is a great vet and was so very kind to me when my kitty became terminal. The staff has also been very kind and caring. I think I've found my vet for life.
Some staff members are hateful towards the new employees especially young people just entering the workforce. Childish and unprofessional kennel staff gossiping about new employees is disgraceful especially when the manager herself is the instigator. Animals feel negativity and I wouldn’t trust them with my dogs period
Stop suggesting heart worm prevention that doesn't work. Are you getting a kick back from pro heart corporation or is it the getting to charge $800 bucks to treat the dog for heartworm that your in it for? I've had dogs, cats, cows, horses my whole life I've never had heartworm this Vet talked us into switching from the every 3 month pills to the shot every 6 months and now 3 of our 4 dogs have had to be treated for heartworm. That is awfully convenient for the vet practice since they get $800. to treat it.They seem like nic... read more

I'm so sorry to hear Bailey has heartworms. The ProHeart6 injection has proven good coverage against heartworm infection for 6 months. I went back and reviewed Bailey's record and noticed that the time between her injections was well beyond the 6 months that the ProHeart6 covers for. That's most likely the reason she wound up being heartworm positive.
We love this place so much. They always take care of our babies. All of the staff that is there is very kind and the doctors do a amazing job!!

They have the best vets and staff. They truly care about the animals and take their time explaining the health of your fur babies. They are willing to think outside the box in order to help your babies. I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr Guntharp and his staff they are the BEST.
Listen: just as I have the best doctors for my children as well as my spouse and I trust them every time they go in whether it's for an appointment or for an illness or for a wellness check I trust a doctor and the staff at Jonesboro Pet Hospital.
