It's just the best !! A fun day with fresh air and excercise! And it's cheap!! Have a hot dog and an ice cream and you'll love it !!
Go new york state parks. Very clean bathrooms and a nice beach and nice park staff
Clean, big waves, good concessions and bathrooms. Weekend crowds can be a bit much, so do yourself a favor and go during the week if you can. It's a little bit of a hike from the parking lot, not an issue for most people but I had to help an older couple I saw who were having trouble carrying their beach supplies over the distance. The good news is, if that's an issue, they have beach chair and umbrella rental right on the sand and a well stocked snack bar, so you don't have to carry anything but your towel!
Awesome waves, there was dead jelly fish all over tho and the bathroom attendant was yelling at everyone for leaving the stalls full of sand (does she know she works at the beach lol) lots of parking and good ice cream.
