Dr carmouche did my spine surgery twice. Is a great doctor. Very knowledgeable.
Dr. Carmouche is the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever seen.. I have a fractured vertebrae which both Dr. Carmouche and Jason Perry PA have been excellent with communications and attention to detail.. They would receive a 10 star rating if Carilion would get SOMEWHAT organized but I doubt that will happen.. Carilion now charges $25 for each form filled out for what ever reason which is not covered by insurance of any kind.. Rediculos
Wonderful doctor who takes the time to listen to the patient and make sure that the correct treatment is administered. The time he spends with you is reflected in the wait times both in getting an appointment (he is in demand) and your time waiting in the office (often hours behind due to spending time with other patients). That said, if someone is going to cut on my back, there is no one else that I'd rather have doing it.
I was told my surgery would be scheduled in 4 to 5 months, but I wasn't even on the schedule yet. I have gone from walking, doing yard work, a little carpentry, to falling down because both of my legs now are very unstable, and I have no feeling in both of my legs up to my knees. Now using a walker. I am now changing doctor's because I do not believe I am able to wait for months and am afraid of being unable to use my legs at all if I wait longer for surgery. No on seems to care there.
While I found him to be knowledgeable and competent, follow up care was not good at all.
