Dr Fong performed Cardiac Bypass Surgery on me in September 2024. First of all, his knowledge and technical skills are the Best. He is truly the most professional and supportive doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His explanations, thoroughness and "bedside manner" are outstanding. Came to hospital with chase pain, end up needing an open hearth surgery and Dr. Fong was incredible great, God bless for persons like him on this world that made the difference.

Dr Fong spent time discussing my bypass surgery with my wife and me. He doesn't rush and answers all questions thoroughly. He followed up with me after surgery in the hospital every day. He is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him. Very caring physician!
I recently (4 weeks ago) had quadruple bypass surgery (CABG) by Dr. Jonathon Fong at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dr. Fong, his staff, and the hospital in general are better than excellent. I can't find words to describe how well things went, and the way I was cared for. Dr. Fong explained everything to me before the surgery and made suggestions of things like breathing exercises I should do to prepare for the procedure. Dr Fong treated us with respect and clearly spoke to us about the process of my triple heart bypass. He was patient and attentive with our questions. He prepared me for risks and explained how my recovery would progress. His team both in the office and at SMH was beyond knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Fong performed aortic valve replacement and bypass in early February. Started cardiac rehab last week and everything is going well. Dr. Fong listened, explained and answered my many questions never once hurrying me. I couldn’t have anyone better to care for me.
