Helped with cervical surgery
I have seen Dr. a few times already. I had a situation that Dr. took control of in a matter of minutes. Not only did I have 1 MRI have done of my LUMAR and he called my between surgery's He ordered 1 then of my hip. I then went to pain management. I am now on the road to recovery thanks to Dr His staff is also excellent. Teresa, gets her job done, before you can say phone call, and Kelly gets the job done before you say is it done already. I drive 80 miles 1 way for Dr God bless you and what do.
Excellent doctor and staff! Very patient and caring. Dr. Citow gives the best care to each patient who walks into his office. Would highly recommend.
It took 2 months for the doctor to see me. He sent me to different doctor for shots which only helped 25%. Then to a Pain Management doctor for radio frequency ablation test. Test was awfully painful. I returned to him stating that under no circumstances would I have procedure. He stated only other thing to do is surgery, however it may not stop the pain. The doctor I went to next had different diagnosis of where pain was stemming from. His Pain Management team is excellent.
My experience was a great success with the surgery on my neck. From start with my first visit and all the way through to the end. The staff and Dr. Citow were very helpful, understanding and patient. Any/all my questions and concerns were always addressed. Thank you.
After a previous spine surgery, I was barely able to walk, due to extreme pain. I met with Dr. Citow, who told me of a minimally invasive surgery that would help me. True to his word, the surgery was a complete success! I’m very grateful.
I truly believe that Dr. Citow is one of the best neurosurgeons in the country! I was told by a different doctor that I needed a spinal fusion. All I can say is that I'm so lucky I went to get a 2nd opinion. Dr. Citow throughly explained to me that all I needed was a microdiscectomy. He is honest and caring. If your having issues with your spine this is the doctor you want to see.
2 other Dr's wanted to do a fusion, Dr. Citow looked at the MRI and said it was un-necessary. Performed mini laminectomy and I was able to walk 5 miles 2 days later. 2 years later I have occasional stiffness and occasional short term discomfort, but I'm able to do anything including play golf.
While Dr. Citow is a neurosurgeon with a great reputation, his bedside manner is lacking. He performed a cervical fusion on my husband which failed to fuse. Of course this can happen with fusions but he told my husband it was all in his head.
