Great Salon, Great Stylist, Great Cut! It was my first time being here and I loved it. Veronica is the absolute best. I had no idea what to do, but she had great ideas of what would work best for me. The salon itself was great as well. It's an upscale salon without the pretensious people, so you feel like your being well treated, but still feel comfortable and relaxed. Bryon is the best Although now living in California, Bryon is so good that I make a point of timing my visits home so that he can do my hair. His color and cut are always exactly what I want (and sometimes he has a better idea of what I really want than I do). And I love his new location at Jon Barton. I wasn't familiar with the salon before Bryon moved there but it is perfect-up scale but still very relaxed. Just like Bryon.
Ask for Brian! Brian was great, very fun to talk with and, most importantly, he gave me an excellent haircut and style. He seemed to be genuinely concerned with my satisfaction. I will definitely return.
Hair HEAVEN I went in a week ago and meet with Russ. He did an amazing job on my hair. Everyone is complimenting me on it! Russ is kind and very detailed about what he is doing with my hair. He really makes people feel comfortable. I will continue to ONLY use RUSS!
Love Jon Barton Salon Don't know what the previous person was talking about. The parking is good for the Montrose area. It is in an old house that is charming. The people are warm and friendly. It was beautiful during the Christmas season. It is extremely hard to do red properly and I always come out with it perfect. Dont get color It was my first time going to this salon as well as getting my hair dyed. When it was done I was pretty satisfied until I went home and realized that he missed several pieces of my hair which left my hair overall look streaky. I went and got it cut from a different salon closer to my house I didnt say anything about getting it dyed but she asked me if i had done it myself and for next time to take my time while doing it. Bryan Guillory -- talented stylist and colorist Bryan Guillory has been my stylist for over a year, first at Marbella's on Westheimer. I followed him over to the Jon Barton salon on Dunlavy, where he is now. The new location is great -- for instance, the parking situation is a LOT better at the new place, and it's near the Westheimer/Dunlavy cafes and restaurants. He gets my highest recommendation. Natalie Watson Natalie has been my hairdresser and friend now for 7 years..I knew her in Austin and let me tell you that this lady knows her hair! I am very dark headed and have been a blonde since I was 11 years old. Natalie Watson = best hairstylist in Houston I have lived in Houston for a long time now, and I have been to a number of salons, and this is by far the best experience I have had.
